Opioid Awareness Class and Naloxone Training

Hennepin County Sheriff's Office offers online and in-person classes about the dangers of opioids, signs of addiction, treatment options, the proper administration of Naloxone, and more. This class is free and is open to all.

This hour long online class and training will provide education about the dangers of opioids, signs of addiction, treatment options and the proper administration of naloxone (Narcan®). These trainings are open to all.

This class will be offered (online) in the early evenings. These sessions will include training on how to properly administer Naloxone, also known by the brand name Narcan®, a prescription medicine that reverses an opioid overdose. Funding for the classes has been provided through grants from the Minnesota Department of Health. All sessions will be taught by licensed alcohol and drug counselor Randy Anderson, founder of Bold North Recovery.
