Bold North Recovery offers the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Training Academy as part of a recovery-oriented system of care for individuals and families dealing with substance use disorders.  The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© is a 6-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs. This training also includes the ethical considerations for recovery coaches which addresses many areas including: defining the coaching service role and functions, coaching standards, issues of vulnerability, ethical decision making, performance enhancement and legal issues. This course will help Recovery Coaches maintain good boundaries when serving others.

Bold North Recovery is a Minnesota Certification Board (MCB) approved provider of the peer recovery curriculum. This Academy meets the educational requirements for the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential issued by the MCB.

have a  capacity limit and is filled on a first come, first serve basis.

6 day Training Schedule:

RCA: June 17th - 20th/8:30am - 5pm

Ethics: June 21st - 22nd/8am - 5pm
