Edward J. Davis Community Service Award

On November 17, 2025, the Legal Action Center (LAC) hosted their 2025 Arthur Liman Public Interest Awards Benefit. I was honored to be invited to attend in person and receive the Edward J. Davis Community Service Award. Unfortunately, due to prior commitments, I wasn’t able to be there—and to be fully transparent, I was pretty bummed about it.

LAC asked if I could record a short video to be played at the benefit, which I gladly did. The event went on to raise a record-breaking $1.9 million! These funds are vital to ensuring LAC can continue providing 100% free legal services in New York, defending civil rights both in the courts and in the court of public opinion, and advancing transformative policy reforms that strengthen communities nationwide.

I received a very special package in the mail—my award. Thank you, LAC, for this honor and for everything you do!
